1 Acceptance of Terms

By browsing, accessing, or placing an inquiry or reservation on www.mainecoonnest.com ("the Website"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Website and refrain from reserving a kitten.

These Terms, together with our Health Guarantee, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you ("Adopter" or "Buyer") and Maine Coon Nest ("Breeder" or "Seller").

2 Eligibility & Adoption Approval

Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. Maine Coon Nest reserves the exclusive right to approve or decline any adoption application at its sole discretion if it is determined that the placement does not align with the best welfare and safety interests of the kitten.

3 Reservation, Deposit & Payment Terms

• Holding Deposit: To officially reserve an available kitten, the Buyer must place the required reservation deposit. Deposits are applied directly toward the total adoption price.
• Final Balance: The remaining adoption balance must be paid in full prior to scheduling flight dispatch, pet courier transit, or at the time of scheduled in-person pickup.
• Payment Security: All electronic transactions must be completed through our authorized, secure payment methods. We do not accept unauthorized personal checks or unverified payment drafts.

4 Mandatory Adopter Commitments

To preserve the health of the kitten and maintain the validity of the Health Guarantee, the Buyer explicitly agrees to:

5 Transfer of Ownership & Risk of Loss

Legal ownership and risk of loss transfer to the Buyer upon physical transfer of custody (either at the airport meeting point with our flight nanny, at home doorstep delivery, or upon local cattery pickup). The Buyer assumes full responsibility for the continuous care, feeding, veterinary expenses, and overall welfare of the kitten thereafter.

6 Lifetime No-Shelter Commitment

If at any point during the cat's lifetime the Buyer is unable to retain ownership due to health, financial, or personal circumstances, the Buyer agrees to contact Maine Coon Nest. We will assist in re-homing the cat or accept the cat back into our care. Under no circumstances may a Maine Coon Nest cat ever be surrendered to an animal shelter or rescue pound.

7 Intellectual Property

All text, photography, graphic assets, logos, and code on this Website are the exclusive intellectual property of Maine Coon Nest and protected by United States and international copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

8 Limitation of Liability & Dispute Resolution

Except as explicitly provided in our written Health Guarantee, Maine Coon Nest is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from website use or kitten ownership. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to engage in good-faith informal negotiation prior to initiating formal mediation or arbitration under applicable state jurisdiction.
